H&M launches their first online store in India

Famous Swedish multi-national fashion retailer company Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) today announced the launch of its online stores in India. H&M has already 29 stores across 12 cities of India. H&M India Manager Janne Einola said,” with an aim to increase the growth of the company in India, we are going to launch our online store in India, and India will be the 45th global market where H&M has started online stores”. The Company said it is bringing a full product range to customers in India with H&M’s Shop Online offering a wider range of collections with exclusive ‘online-only’ pieces available all year-round. The products range will include ladies-lingerie and accessories, men’s, teens, kids, plus-size, maternity collection.

In celebration of starting online with their merchandise, customers will be able to avail of a host of offers, including free shipping and great discounts for first sign-ups. Known to address the needs of the shopper, keeping in mind current seasons and trends, H&M is currently stocked high with essentials for the summer. Dainty lace, coordinates, espadrilles, Floral separates, soft pastels, sunglasses are available in the starter pack of the H&M online website. H&M also has launched the Android as well as the iOS app for online booking, and they are offering the 25% off to the new customers who download the app for the first time.

H&M started three categories in its E-commerce website named, www2.hm.com, and these are Mens, Womens and kids.H&M have also added the scan-and-buy feature that allows customers to buy products online if suitable size is not available in physical stores, by scanning barcodes they can buy this from H&M shops. H&M India manager Eionla says, “Globally for H&M, the share of online and B2B sales to the overall sales is 12.percentnt. Let’s hope that in India it is even bigger and is the strongest.”
